After he cut me off for the tenth time because "duh mom, I already know that!"

Me: Warren, you have got to quit talking back to me and interrupting me.

W:  Sorry.

Me:  It's rude and disrespectful.  And I know you aren't either of those things, so it needs to stop.

W:  It's just a habit of mine.

Me:

Me: Well, it's a bad habit and you need to break it.

W:  I know, I'm trying.

W:

W:  It's just not going so well.

Back in the saddle again

The time is 7:50 a.m.  In just eight short days, at this time, my children will be on the bus for a full day of school.

Can we say OH YEA!

These past few weeks have been a blur.  I know I have not been posting.  It's either that I'm too busy, too tired, too depressed, or just cautious.  I'll start topics and then think to myself, "ooo, I'm not so sure Warren would want me to share that."  Or "what if my neighbors read this one?"  "What about my father in law reading this?  Or my nieces?"  And so I hit delete and walk away from the computer.

But I miss it.  I miss posting, I miss trying to write to clear my head and make me more level.  So I'm going to try to get back on the horse here.  (Is that how the saying goes?  I have no clue.)  And if I embarrass my children, well, I'm sure it won't be the first time; nor will it be the last.  My husband is used to being embarrassed by me; I'm quite sure it's part of my charm.  Right pooky?  My neighbors know me well enough to know I'm not quite right in the head.  And my father in law and nieces?  Well, just like my husband, they are required to love me no matter what.  Mwah ha ha (that's my evil laugh). 

So moving on.  And back onto the horse.  Or back into the swing of things.  Or whatever.  Baby steps, right?

Supportive, yet frustrated.

You know, being a supportive wife while you are having a pity party for yourself is hard work.

My ankle still isn't right.  And I KNOW it hasn't been that long and she said it would be like a year before it felt completely fine and blah blah blah it's annoying.  Every morning when I wake up the first thing I do is throw my left leg in the air and check out my ankle.  Still freaking swollen.  Putting my feet on the floor I can feel the stiffness in it.  Every other day I am trying to walk or do my wii Biggest Loser - guess what?  My ankle hurts.  And then it hurts afterward.  It's so darn annoying, it's like my body is failing me. 

I have always gone in cycles of eating right and working out only to fall off the wagon, gorge and be lazy.  I never quite manage to keep weight off forever, I'd like to, but it doesn't happen.  And this acorn incident occurred in the prime of an eating right and 'I'm going to try and be a runner' cycle.  So being sidelined from that has hurt my ego, my plans, and my attitude.  Instead of being pleased with any and all progress I make, I'm mad.  And when I get mad, I get depressed.  And when mad and depressed?  Hello food!

Meanwhile, my husband is doing great.  Which is pissing me off.  No, I'm happy for him.  Thrilled.  Or angry.  It's a bit like being a schizophrenic I suppose! 

I am proud of him.  He's kept his weight off, is losing more, and is training for a half marathon.  He's dedicated, he's focused.  He has willpower when it comes to food (which has irked me for like forever - oh wait I mean it's a great quality and I love him).  I've encouraged this with new shoes and an ipod sensor that works with your ipod to track how far you've been in your route and encourages you along the way.  Was I envious when I bought it?  Of course.  But I love Mike and want the best for him. 

It's just angering me to be so damn supportive.

Sometimes Warren has to wait in long lines at a Walmart in Rogers, Arkansas for autographs.

Why would he do such a thing?  Well one reason is to get the autograph of a teen from Nickelodeon - Victoria Justice.  The other reason?

His sister and his cousins.  Who could say no to those cute faces?

(Also?  $2 underwear at Walmart.  Who knew you could get undies for $2?)

What did I just hear?

Dear Bret Michaels,

While driving in the car recently, I heard this song.

Yes indeedy, it was you, re-doing Sublime's "What I got".  And um, I hate to be this blunt with you, but it sucked.  Yes Bret Michaels, it sucked.  First off, re-doing songs is generally not such a great idea.  And second, well second Bret Michaels is the fact that you didn't do it very well.

Now Bret, I am not dissing you because I don't like you.  In fact, I do like you Bret, very much.  I mean Poison was a part of my high school years.  Your hair was and still is fabulous!  Your voice is total rocker and who among my age group didn't love "Every rose has it's thorn"?  So very many great hits Bret.  So very many.

Rock of Love?  Well that show was dumb yet so very entertaining.  I still liked you even though you did that show.

The Apprentice?  Hells yeah - you won that one sucka!  And you brought a lot of attention and money to research for diabetes which is also excellent.

Your recent health battles caught my attention and I've been rooting for you to pull through.  You've got it in you Bret, I know you do.  I'm confident in you.

Bret, you are aging fabulously.  (At least I think so, it's hard to judge what might be going on under that do-rag.)  You look good, you seem to be on a good path, and you love your girlfriend and family.

But this What I Got remake?  Bret, it's not you.  Re-do some of your Poison stuff or move on to new rock.  Okay?  I promise not to make fun of your do-rag if you stick to what you know musically.
