Me: Elaine, I hate to tell you, but it's kind of chilly today - you're going to have to wear pants. I then proceed to get out a pair of jeans for her.
E: stares at me
E: Momma? I have to say, I'm not a fan of jeans. Because I AM a fan of swinging and sliding at recess and jeans have buttons on the back that dig into my butt while I'm doing those things.
Me: stare at Elaine.
Me: Interesting. Well, here's a pair of jeans with nothing on the butt. You'll have to suck it up for today - I can't find any other pants.
E: with attitude...Fiiiiiiiiine.
